Last year around this time I put out 12 Writing Prompts for Fall. And now that autumn is creeping around the corner and that crispness is slipping back into the breeze, it’s high time for me to put out another batch for you.
So here it is! 10 (More) Writing Prompts for Autumn!
The lake is beautiful in the fall, but the water is so cold.
A porch swing and a flannel blanket.
Character A teaches Character B how to bake a pie.
The scarecrow out in the field keeps moving closer every night.
Someone just doesn’t like apple cider donuts.
It can be hard to feel festively autumnal when it’s 90 degrees outside.
Character A shows up in a turtleneck and now Character B can’t focus. (Bonus points if the others are teasing Character A as Character B tries to slink out of sight.)
Who wants cinnamon rolls?
Autumn rain can be romantic in its own way.
Your characters take a road trip to check out the foliage.
The best fire pits happen during the fall.
An autumn wedding.
